Wedding Inspiration and Behind-the-Scenes
THE JOURNAL

Some sessions just feel easy, and this was one of those. If you’re looking for a Nashville engagement photographer, you can see more of my work here.
I’ve worked with Logan a few times before this, so getting to photograph her and Trey together in this season of their life felt really full circle in the best way.
Logan and Trey are just fun to be around. Like, genuinely.
They both play on Broadway here in Nashville. Logan is a lead singer and plays bass, which is already cool on its own, and Trey is on drums. They also tour, so music is a huge part of their life together.
I actually did the cover art for Logan’s newest songs, so we’ve already created together in a different way. Getting to step into documenting their relationship like this felt really special.

We shot this session at Lover’s Circle for their engagement photos, which is one of my favorite spots for a Nashville engagement session but the bigger reason is this is where Trey proposed.
So yeah… it means a lot.
Being back in that exact spot just made everything feel more relaxed. Nothing felt forced. They already had a connection to the space, so it was more about letting them be there together again instead of trying to create something new.

We caught golden hour in April, which is one of the best times for engagement photos in Nashville.
The light was soft, the skyline was doing its thing, and everything just worked. It wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t overly posed, it just kind of unfolded naturally.
Those are always my favorite sessions. The ones where it doesn’t feel like a production.
I think my favorite part was just how comfortable everything felt.
Logan already trusted me, which changes everything as a photographer. There’s no warming up period, no awkward phase. We just got to start creating right away.
And with Trey, it was the same energy. They’re just solid together.
A lot of laughing, a lot of just being in the moment, and those quieter in-between moments that always end up being the ones people love the most later.

If there’s one thing I’d say after this one, it’s this:
Pick a place that actually means something to you.
It doesn’t have to be the “best” location in Nashville. It just has to be yours.
That’s what makes the photos feel real.
